Background • Energy Master Plan and Governors Economic Growth Strategy define ambitious goals for job creation • Stakeholder comments reflect different views on how to get there: • Solar Alliance does not support rebates but prefers direct incentives to manufacturers • EPV supports modifications to solar REC • OCE has asked Market Manager to develop proposal to extend CORE manufacturing incentive to REIP program
Eligibility • Solar panels or inverters • In 2010 will consider other technologies • 50% manufacturing cost test includes labor, overhead, raw materials • Alternatively any company supported by EDA CEMP
Other Highlights • Only available for REIP projects (unless applied for and approved under CORE and project is not yet complete) • Extension to projects up to 500kW • $1 million commitment cap in 2009 • Customers can take advantage of both panel and inverter incentives • NJREMI will be added on tech worksheet • Attestation and proof of purchase documentation required with final paperwork
