Background • Both L3 MVPN and VPLS Mcast protocols use P-Multicast Service Interfaces (PMSIs) • A conceptual "overlay" on the P-network • Instantiated by P-tunnels • Carry C-multicast traffic • Advertised by PMSI A-D routes • PMSI Tunnel Attribute signals tunnel information • Both L3 MVPN MIB and VPLS Mcast MIB have related objects
