INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS • 2008 YEAR OF AFRICAN YOUTH AS DECLARED BY AU • RATIFICATION OF AFRICAN YOUTH CHARTER BY SA STILL PENDING • 10 YEAR ANNIVESARY OF DIPLOMATIC RELATION WITH THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA • IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE YOUTH DESK IN THE PRESIDENCY, THE NYC IS CO-ORDINATING THE YOUTH COMPONENT OF THESE CELEBRATIONS, INCLUDING A CULTURAL EXCHANGE PROGRAMME, FOOD AND WINE EXPO, AND YOUTH IN BUSINESS DIALOGUE IN SEPTEMBER 2008 BETWEEN YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS OF SOUTH AFRICA AND CHINA.
