Why does South Africa need a National Qualifications Framework (NQF)? South Africa needs to: • Have an integrated qualification framework • Remove barriers between education and training • Remove barriers between learning and working • Remove barriers between the different learning environments • Facilitate access, mobility and progression between education, training and career paths
