  1. Student Scoop Ms. Scott’s Class Volume One Issue 1 August 25, 2009 Dear Parents/Guardians, I am enthusiastic about beginning this school year with your child. I know that he/she and I will keep a close connection with home so that you will know what is going on in school every day. You may use my work email address (scotts@pcsb.org) to contact me as needed. For school emergency issues, you can reach me at home after 7:00 P.M. and before 9:00 P.M. My home number is 867-1887. If I am unable to answer the phone, leave a message and I will return your call. Mission Statement My mission is to coach students through what is outlined for their learning as noted in the Sunshine State Standards and Essential Learnings resource guides. Wish List • Promotional Gadgets • Toys or Trinkets • Perfume, Make-up, or Jewelry • Mechanical Pencils • Electronic Devices • Gel Pens • Pets or Animals • Prohibited Items • Collection Cards • Hand-held Pencil Sharpeners • Candy , Snacks or Treats to eat in class unless directed to do so • 1 package loose-leaf paper (wide-ruled) • 2 wide-ruled spiral notebooks • 2 composition notebooks • Backpack (no wheels) • 24 pencils (#2) • Kleenex Tissues • Liquid Soap • Glue Stick Expectations • Students are expected to be polite and to show respect for self, others, and property. • Students are expected to follow positive directions. • Students are expected to raise a hand if they need help, or if they want to share relevant information during instruction or discussion. • Students are expected to participate in the learning process. • Students are expected to show and/or explain steps and processes for work done in class. • Students are expected to do their BEST work and use their BEST behavior in school. Agenda Read and use the agenda book to communicate with school daily. Each student is expeceted to write a note to you about his/her learning experience.
