Vitamins Herbal Supplements • There are 13 Essential Vitamins needed to sustain the Body • Fat Soluble Vitamins-A,D, E &K • Water Soluble Vitamins-Pantholeic Acid, Folate, B-6 and B-12, Biotin, Riboflavin, Niacin, and Thiamine and Vitamin C (NIH, 2011). • These are made from plants and can be used in different preparations and forms to treat a variety of issues • Herbal supplements may be used by some people instead of traditional medicines • Their effectiveness and usage is not proven(Weinrauch, 2005) Definitions
