  7. SOS & MENDOS. St Richards Community Support centre SOS-survival of Suicide Supports anyone living in Brighton and Hove affected by suicide or attempted suicide, their friend and families and carers bereaved by suicide. We provide one to one emotional support ,also closed and open peer support groups – Open Monday-Friday 9-5 Mendos-Mentally Disorderly Offenders Supports people living in Brighton and Hove who are involved in the criminal justice system, and whose risk of re-offending is connected to mental illness. We provide one to one and peer support groups. Open Monday-Friday 9-5pm www.rethink.org

Supporting people with Asperger Syndrome or High Functioning Autism Two free life skills courses for people with Asperger Syndrome and High Functioning Autism Together we’ll work on Communication, Organisational Skills, Anxiety & Relationships and we’ll give you the Practical Support you need. Small, AS friendly groups Every two weeks for 2-3 hours for 6 months Plus 1.5 hours per month of dedicated one-to-one support Group One Communication, Anxiety & Relationships Communication skills, building and managing positive relationships, managing anxiety Group Two Organisational Skills and Practical support Managing stress, organisational skills, household management, managing finances, staying safe and using public transport and health & well being For more information and availability please contact: lifeskills@assertbh.org.uk or 01273 234850 In addition to the Life skills Course, we will also be running a Well being walking group once per month that is open to people with AS/HFA. Assert also offer other support including benefits advice, social activities, one to one support, volunteering placements and training.
