  2. SLAGM 2nd AGM • The second Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Sri Lanka Association of Geriatric Medicine held on 20thth February 2015 at NHSL, Colombo. Office bearers for the year 2015 were selected Membership strength Our membership strength has now increased up to 100. Office premises we have now received a permanent office room at the SLMA premises and it has been refurbished completely.

  5. Annual Report SLAGM 2015 • We had a very vibrant year 2015 with 4 major academic activities • 1. Symposium at the 41st annual academic sessions of the CGPSL 9th of August • 2.Regional meeting in collaboration with the Polonnaruwa clinical society on 6th of October • 3.Symposium at the Ceylon College of Physicians 48th annual academic sessions • 4.Annual Academic Sessions of the SLAGM on the 20/21st of November 5.WONCA SAR conference on 13-14th February – Symposium in Geriatric Medicine for Primary care doctors 6.CCP Specialty update on Geriatric Medicine

  6. CGPSL Annual sessions •  41st Annual Academic Session of the College of General Practitioners Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Association of Geriatric Medicine was held on the 09th of August 2015 at the Lionel  Wendt Memorial Auditorium.

Overseas Representations by Members of the SLAGM 2015 • Dr.AchalaBalasuriya (Secretary) represented SLAGM at the International Congress on Gerontology and Geriatrics (IAGG) held in Chiangmai Thailand on the 20th of October presented a paper on “Evolution and Progression of Geriatric Medicine in Sri Lanka” • Dr.AchalaBalasuriya was chairperson at the ICGGM (International Congress on Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine) held in New Delhi on the 27th of November

  19. Overseas Representations by Members of the SLAGM 2015 • Dr DilharSamaraweera represented the SLAGM and delivered a lecture on Pre-surgical Geriatric Assessment at the 13th Annual Conference of the Indian Academy of Geriatrics organized jointly by the Department of General Medicine and the Indian Academy of Geriatrics in Chandigarh.

  21. Amendments to the SLAGM Constitution • Proposed Amendments are as follows • The President may serve for a maximum period of three years instead of 2 years. • The number of non-office bearing council members shall be increased to 12. This may include two past presidents. Each council member may have a set of well-defined duties allocated at the time of election.

  22. End of Secretary's Report 3rd AGM of SLAGM • This concludes the activities of the SLAGM over the last year and that brings me to the end of the Secretary’s Report of the SLAGM for the year 2015 • Thank you.
