Why I chose this career. I chose this career because you don’t have to take anything too seriously and you can just play around and have fun with different characters. It’s a good way to meet a lot of interesting people and you can travel to different places. People pay you to play pretend just like you were a kid.
Acting Salary • The median hourly wage for an Actor is $17.44 as of May 2010.
Acting Job Outlook • Employment of actors is projected to grow 4% from 2010 - 2020.
Training Requirements Most actors become better with formal plays, so long-term on-the-job training is often required.
Education Needed? No degree is really needed to act.
