Good luck, you will need it……… Begin my Quest
You are at Aegae attending the wedding of your sister Cleopatra. While at the wedding tragedy strikes, your father Phillip the II is murdered by a member of his own guard, Pausanias. Luckily Pausanias trips over and is killed by his pursuers. This leaves you with a line to the throne. Do you?..... Option A Option B Stand aside and let someone else take it. Nothing is stopping you, you will crush anything in your path and fulfil your dream of revenge on Persia and World domination.
FAILURE Your failure displeases me What are you doing? I thought you wanted to conquer the world? To have your name in the history books? Ill let you try again since this was the first time but remember, you must not fail. Try Again?
World domination aye? Well you have discovered that your cousin Amyntas IV has a direct line to the throne. This could cause potential problems for you down the track. What do you do? Option A Option B You can’t harm your cousins, you are a man of honour Kill them, Kill them ALLLL
FAILURE Dalai Lama Stamp of Approval You decide to spare your cousin. Guess what, he takes the throne. Who do you think you are? The Dalai Lama? You live your life at the pub, telling everyone how you are Alexander who could have been Great. THE END
You have your cousin and any other heir’s to the throne executed. This enables you to seize the throne and become King of Macedonia. Before going on your conquest you decide to consolidate your northern borders and defeat your enemies in the Balkans. You march your army south into Asia, defeating armies on your way. At the ancient Phrygian capital of Gordium you are presented with a challenge in the unsolvable Gordian knot. Legend has it that person the untie the knot will become King of Asia. Do you?..... Option A Option B Hack at the knot with your sword Untie it with your hands
Woops, I didn’t see you there dude FAILURE The knot is untie able. You cannot seem to get it undone however hard you try. Feeling defeated you wander out of the room and get struck by an ox-driven cart. You died. THE END
Well done, the knot was untie able but you found a way to get past it. You continue your conquest south. You conquer Syria, Tyre and Gaza as well as Jerusalem opening up the gates to their city. There you are shown the book of Daniel’s prophecy about a Greek king who would conquer the Persian Empire. You spare Jerusalem and move onto Egypt where you found a city. What would you like to name it? New Macedon New Athens Babylon Alexandria Washington
Really? Is that your actual choice? How about something a bit cooler, something that will make them remember you. Go Back
Alexandria. Has a nice ring to it. You head back into the Middle East and push east into Asia. You meet Persian resistance but easily defeat them. You carry on with your march until you come to meet your arch-rival Darius. Your armies meet but Darius flee’s and his army soon surrenders. Do you?.... Give Chase Let him go
FAILURE This is your arch rival and you let him go. Complacency won’t make you the greatest military leader ever. Hahaha I got away The End
You chase Darius first into Media, and then Parthia.Unfortunatly you don’t catch up with him as Bessus gets him first. He kills Darius then names himself as Darius’ successor. You see him as an upstart and pursued him. Lucky for you Bessus is betrayed by one of his own men to one of your right hand me, Ptolemy. What do you do with Darius? Execute him Spare him
FAILURE No Alexander, killing is not the way! I don’t have to listen to you, I do what I want You chose to spare him? You are kidding right? Do you think you are Ghandi or something? I thought you would have learnt by now how Alexander likes to do things. You have done well to get this far so I will let you go back and try again. Back to the Start
You have him executed and push on towards India. You defeat various enemies in battle but as you reach India your army does not want to fight for you anymore. They have been campaigning for years and want to return to their homelands to see their families. You have a choice. Do you? Turn Around at the request of your army Push on into India
FAILURE You decide to go against the wishes of your Army and push across the river into India. There you are met with a Grand Army of 80,000 horsemen, 200,000 infantry, 8,000 chariots and 6,000 war elephants. You and your army fight bravely, but you suffer heavy casualties resulting in a loss. You are captured and executed by the Indian King. The end
You turn south and head along the Indus Valley, meeting and defeating Indian tribes along the way. You march on to Persia but are confronted with anger from the Macedonian’s among your ranks at you adopting Persian customs and letting Persians serve in his army units. How do you plan to quieten your Army. Tell them that the Persians are better than them. Transfer Macedonian military titles to Persian men
FAILURE It does not work. The Macedonian’s get upset and a riot breaks out. This results in looting of the city of Susa and you being caught up in the violence. You get ghetto stomped in the rampage. You died. The End.
The plan has worked. The Macedonians quickly ask for forgiveness and you hold a banquet for everyone. You march your army to Babylon which you plan to make the capital of your empire. You attend a dinner and after lots of eating and drinking you fall ill. You die 14 days later in a hospital bed. Continue
Congratulations, you died undefeated in battle. You never got to take over the world like you hoped but it was still a great effort none the less. This is why you are deserving the title of Great. Also probably a good thing that you didn’t live to see your empire crumble in 40 years of war as the people under oppression took back their land. But your story lives on History Student the Great The End
