Class Membership Bill Kneller • J/30 Class Membership Required for One Design (OD) Racing • Dues Optional but encouraged • Dues $50 / Year Owner - $25/Year Associate • Your Dues Support • J/30 Class Website, J/30 Forum and J/30 Marketplace • US Sailing Class OD Membership • J/30 North American Trophies • All Owners in Class Database emailed message with link for membership renewal • Dues can be paid via credit card, PayPal or Check • Online membership renewal encouraged, or print website form and mail it in • SNE District dues - $0 due to surplus from hosting 2008 North Americans • J/30 Forum – big benefit for you and it is free to register and use • J/30 Apparel available on-line through agreement with V-Sport • J/30 Flags available online • Remember J30.org – you can find everything from the menu there

5. Board of Governor’s Report Bill Kneller • BOG meeting held 15 Sept 2011 at Annapolis YC before J/30 North Americans • Income $3,275 from 2011dues as of 31 Aug. Expenses: $125 US Sailing, $161.94 Web hosting, $95.34 Paypal fees, $1600 bill for half hulls. Current Balance: $10,334.30 • Reports from all districts present (SNE, NNE, LI Sound, Chesapeake, Gulf Coast, Western Great Lakes, Eastern Great Lakes, PNW – Districts absent Southeast, Carolinas). General consensus is activity and participation in the class is growing. National recognition by J/Boats & Sailing Anarchy. • Dates for future J/30 North American Championships • 2012 NOYC New Orleans, LA (October 19-21) • 2013 Barrington YC – Narragansett Bay (July 25-28) • 2014 TBD YC – Long Island Sound District (Dates TBD) • 2015 BOG to vote at spring 2012 meeting

Board of Governor’s Report Bill Kneller • Election of Class Officers for 2 Year Term • Class co-presidents - Bill Kneller (Rhapsody – SNE) & Dave Erwin (Zephyr V2 – Gulf Coast) • Treasurer - Carl Sherter (Fat City – LIS), *Secretary - Vic Farmer (Vee Jay - SNE) • Class Measurer - Charlie Stoddard (Falcon – SNE) • Gov at Large – Dennis Bartley & Bob Rutsch*Secretary is non-voting BOG member • Class co-presidents would develop guidelines for hosting a North American Championship, share these with the BOG, and make a decision on the potential 2015 host during a spring 2012 BOG teleconference. • Report from Class Measurer • Nothing new to report – Vote to be taken on mainsail material • Measurement questions and rulings are posted on the forum • Vote on proposed mainsail class rule change defeated with roll call vote taken • (4 yes, 9 no, 3 abstain, 1 vote not recorded)
