  1. You are going to visit the RSPB’s National Nature Reserve at Abernethy soon!

  2. Abernethyis famous for two things: the biggest piece of old Caledonian Pine Forest

  3. and the world famous Loch Garten ospreys live here!

  4. Ospreys are big birds of prey. With our telescopes in the osprey centre you’ll be able to see them on the nest.

  5. You’ll learn about how ospreys live and look after their chicks... ... and the problems they face on migration.

  6. We’ll go for a walk in the forest and find out about the plants and animals that make up this beautiful habitat.

  7. You will do some exploring...

  8. ... and, yes, you will have lunch, so don’t forget to bring a pic-nic, as well as clothes for wearing outdoors in the forest.
