  3. When can we use it? If we are given two angles and one side OR If we are given one angle, the side opposite the angle, and one other side. Another way of looking at it is: ASA or SSA
  4. The Law of Sines For any triangle ABC, the following is true:
  5. Example 1: solve the triangle We need to find side c, side a and angle A to solve the triangle. Angle A is easy: A=180-35-105 So A=40° We will use Law of sines to find sides a and c.
  6. Example 1 continued Ignore , that isn't helpful to us. Often we will just use two of the three ratios. So, with , we simply cross multiply to solve for c. c= 11.79
