Most Government Departments have a role in enterprise support Invest NI’s Accelerating Entrepreneurship Strategy (AES) - not sufficiently cross-departmental DETI and Invest NI have key roles across the enterprise pipeline Central Government Audit
Also significant roles for: DARD – rural development DEL – skills, FE/HE support DE – enterprise awareness in curriculum DSD – neighbourhood renewal DCAL – creative industries sector Roles also for: DOE – planning DFP – public procurement opportunities DRD – infrastructure support Central Government Audit

NI already has strategies in place for each of the other Economic Vision drivers: Innovation – Regional Innovation Strategy DEL’s Skills Strategy Infrastructure - ISNI Large number of enterprise support stakeholders in NI – needs co-ordination Review of Public Administration Enterprise Strategy - rationale
Emphasis on co-ordination and co-operation by all stakeholders Transitional 3 year strategy aimed at having a more coherent approach to enterprise support in place Enterprise Strategy
