WHAT WE DO • Summary: • Shooting Touch, Inc. is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization based on the premise that basketball’s positive influence on the lives of children can improve the world around them. • Goals: • To help EDUCATEyoung people about life skills including setting and achieving goals • To MENTORall players and give support whenever needed • To COACH the fundamentals of basketball to improve individual confidence both on • and off the court. • The Shooting Touch Sabbatical Program: • A $25,000 Grant is awarded to select college/grad seniors to engage in a post-grad 10-month work program outside of the United States. The mission is to create positive social change in third world communities through the sport of basketball.

Annual Fundraising Dinner • Date: Saturday, April 30th, 2011 • Location: Reebok International Headquarters, Canton, MA. • The entrance and spine of the building and basketball floor. • Time: VIP arrive 6:00pm to 11:00pm. • Number of attendees: 250-people • Profile of attendees: • High profile sports figures including NBA former and current players and coaches • Local sports legends • College coaches and players • Members of the press • Business and civic leaders within Boston • Reebok senior management and staff • Associates, contacts and friends of Shooting Touch, Inc. • Tickets: $100/ticket (Entirely tax deductible, as is any sponsorship or donation to the event) • Event Description • Beer High end variety, local and imported (open bar) • Wine: High end variety, red and white (open bar) • Food: Heavy hors d'oeuvres some passed, some stationery platters, and two carving/meal stations, coffee/dessert. Our goal is not have a sit down environment, get people up moving and socializing, yet have them completely satisfied. • Legal Seafood has signed on board as sponsor. • Music: Live/DJ music will be featured. • Silent Auction: 100-150+ items featuring sports, leisure, home décor, apparel, family fun activities. • Live Auction: Big ticket prizes, trips, sports tix/packages, athletic equipment, memorabilia. • Video /Speakers: Board members, video presentation, Sabbatical program Grant nominees, key sports figures. • Goal of the event: 1) Raise funding for the Shooting Touch Sabbatical Program • 2) Raise awareness for Shooting Touch, Inc. so we locally have more funding and resources to help our inner city clinics and events. • 3) Build ongoing relationships and strategic partnership with local corporate citizens.

  10. 2010 Sabbatical Grant Recipient Tome Barros, a BC High and Hampton University Graduate, Dorchester, Massachusetts native and Cape Verdean immigrant. Since June, 2010 Tome spent (3) months in Dakar, Senegal teaching African youth basketball and leadership skills, HIV and AIDS prevention as well as proper nutrition and exercise.
