  1. NENO IMG NANC Report January 15, 2002

  2. Agreements Reached • IMG deferred end date pending review of NRO 3 Order • Scaled back objectives and agreed to consolidate work done • Focus on Impact Assessment • Change Pros & Cons to Other Considerations

  3. Optimization Measures –Workplan • Complete templates • Finish Impact Projection, Availability, Major Implementation Requirements sections • If dollar costs not available, attempt relative cost comparisons between options • List consensus on “other considerations”; note disputed items

  4. Optimization Measures -Status • Impact assessment approach agreed for • Mandatory 10-Digit Dialing • Rate Center Consolidation • Transparent Numbers via Geographic Portability • Individual TN Pooling • Thousands block pooling per NANPA model constitutes baseline projection of NANP life • Agreed to remove Transitional Overlays from consideration. Brief rationale will be in report.

  5. NANP Expansion • INC report recommends single option • No other option considered provides more resources (increases numbers by factor of 100) • Service provider costs of all options agreed to be equivalently large • Thus, selected option is adequate for any comparison of optimization versus expansion • IMG members should review INC documentation then determine if any major issues require further work at this time

  6. Additional Conference Calls • Agreed time for all the meetings are 11:30 am – 1:30 am ET. • The future meeting dates are: • January 31, 2002 • February 28, 2002 • March 18, 2002 • April 11, 2002 • May 2, 2002

  7. Face-to-face meetings • Face-to-face: • May 28 – 29, 2002 Location: TBD • June 25-26, 2002 Location: Washington, D.C. (USTA checking on being host)
