  13. Shelter-In-PlaceExtra Precautions • Windows that do not seal, spaces under doors, etc. can be sealed with duct tape, plastic, or damp towels. • If you think chemicals are leaking in, have people cover their noses and mouths with damp washcloths, paper towels, or clothing items.

  14. Shelter-In-PlaceIt’s all about going inside! • If you are outside - immediately move everyone indoors to a store, shopping mall, etc. • The chemical will be moving with the wind, so move crosswind with the wind at your side.

  15. Shelter-In-PlaceIt’s all about staying inside! • You will tie up a needed line at the 911 dispatch center. And the county’s phone ringdown system won’t be able to reach you! • DO call if there is an injury or other immediate emergency to report. Don’t call 911

  16. Shelter-In-PlaceHow Will I Know It Is Over? • Listen to KCBS - changes to the Shelter-In-Place advisory and the “all-clear” announcement will be broadcast • News media will receive messages • The scroll on CCTV will stop • County ringdown will re-call residents • For free email notification, go to www.incident.com
