Researchers at the Providence VA Medical Center, lead by Mascha Frank, Ph.D., are conducting a study to find out if the use of a low electrical current to the scalp will improve emotional learning and memory. The ultimate goal is to find out if low electrical current stimulation can improve and shorten treatment for PTSD. You may be eligible for the study if you have been diagnosed with PTSD, arebetween 18 and 70, read English and do not currently abuse drugs or alcohol. • The study involves two visits; 1st visit lasting 3 hours and a 2nd visit lasting 1 hour • You will be asked to answer questions about your mental health and current problems, do tasks/tests on a computer and receive the low current, electrical stimulation on your head • Participants will receive gift cards for their time and effort for each visit attended, up to $75 We are looking for Veterans with ptsd to participate in a 2 DAY research study For more information please contact Margy Bowker: Tel.
