Scenario Since presenting your first proposal to the MD and other members of the board you have been asked to work with Sales and Marketing department to meet their IT needs. Both the sales manager and the marketing manager are relatives of the owner and are unfamiliar with the power of IT. Marketing is still carried out by leaflet drops and adverts in the paper, while sales staff travel long distances, knocking on doors to drum up business. You need to produce a proposal for an IT enabled improvement to a business system.

How to Tackle This Assignment • Throughout this assignment you have been given opportunities to carry out research , engage in activities and have understanding of the impact of use of IT and benefits of the business in using it • You will put all this knowledge to make a proposal to help the company’s sales and marketing departments work more efficiently and to a larger global market
Other Tips • The proposal that you present should be fit for purpose but may be the simplest and most obvious solution • The proposal should be sufficiently detailed to show how the improvement would fit in the existing system
