What is rooting? • Android rooting is the process of allowing users of smartphone ,tablets and any other devices that running the Android mobile operating system to attain privileged control with android subsystem. • Rooting is often performed with the goal of overcoming limitations that carriers and hardware manufactures put on some devices resulting in the ability to alter or replace system applications and settings, run specialized apps that require administrator- level permissions, or perform other operations thatare otherwise inaccessible to a normal Android user .on Android,rooting can also facilitate the complete removal and replacement of the devices’soperating system,usually with a more recent release of its current O.S. . • As Android derives from the Linux kernel ,rooting an Android device is similar to accessing administrative permissions on Linux or any other Unix.
Different ways to root android phonefor ginger beard N ICS • Using direct tool (apk) in phone only . • Using hard reset method in your phone . • Using USB port connectivity through computer.
Using direct tool in phone Download Z4 root software apk from XDA developer's or any other website and then paste that on your phone SD card. As u run it after installation it will provide u two options temporary root and permanent root select according to u.
Using hard reset method for your phone ? • For this you need to download a superuser apk particularly for different phones then put it in sd card and turn off your phone now you need hold on power button+volume up/down button + another hard button(home/search) now go to memory card and there u go to superuser and then your phone rooted. • You can even also reset your phone to default when u forget pattern lock of your phone.
How to root any phone through computer • We need to use to two tools for it they are "SP Flash Tool" and "MT65xx ROM Studio” as many phones have chip MT6573 so it cant be done from first two methods so we need to make dumb rom using MT65xx ROM studio. now after that connect your phone using usb and in SP flash tool in it select the file which is created and then go on root option you will have phone rooted .
To be continued…… • When ever trying this method you need to back up your phone data as when we root many times all the data goes away so we need to have back up it can be done using tools like titanium back up, go back up etc… • This process should be done for particular phones only which cant be done by first two methods .
For I.C.S and Jelly bean • Download Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v31 from XDA developer's site . • Download attached file. • Extract it using 7zip • Double click the RunMe.bat and follow instructions!
Advantages and disadvantages • Disadvantages:- 1.warranty get over. 2.bricking. 3.virus. 4.performance becomes low.
Advantages • Custom software. • Custom themes. • Android version upgrade . • Memory,wifi threading ,superuser reqiurement software's can easily be run and used.
