Football Players Day During Season • Go to class • Start with team meeting • Then Offense & Defense separates into meetings • Offense & Defense talks about opponent & game plan • Separate into individual position meeting • Go to practice
O-Line In Individual Meetings • O-Line talks about the opponents D-line • Goes over formation (4-2, 3-3, 3-4) • Talk about blitzes the opponent do • New plays that will work against the opponent • Watch film on practices to see what we need to fix • Then watch more film after the game
During Practice • Team Warms-up • The team then goes into screen drill • Then pass and play action drill • Individual time to go over more plays • Then either team run or inside run • One on One’s & 7 on 7 • Offense Vs. Defense
O- Line during Practice • Warm up (punching bag, footwork, boards, change of direction) • Then screen drill • Pass or play action drill • Individual they go over formation & blitzes • Team run or inside run • 1 on 1’s • Offense vs Defense
TAMUC Football’s Offseason • Work out are lifting & running • Skills goes at 3 & Bigs at 4 • Team Run at 5
Why Do We play ? Jordan Decorte plays for the Respect of his family. Leo Migo plays because he likes the contact& is a stress reliever for him. Rumzee plays for his brother who had a career ending injury. Austin Jordan plays because there is no better feeling then being in a packed stadium and he also plays for his dad who he looks up to.
What does football mean to the players? Trey Porter says football is an instrument he uses to get away from everything. Austin Jordan says football means to sacrifice a lot of time to be apart of something that is bigger then your self. Boyefio says football gave him a better future and kept him out of trouble.
Is Football a Job ? • Every player I interviewed said yes • Put in as much hours as a part time job • Always have to be on time • Always have to report if you will not make it • You have a boss
