Training Provider and Stakeholder Meeting • Headline Objectives • £500,000 fund to assist installers in gaining renewable heating qualifications in England • 250,000 for “cross-skilling” • £250,000 for apprenticeship support
Training Provider and Stakeholder Meeting Key objectives “To help ensure there is sufficient installation capacity to support the domestic RHI when it comes into place next Spring” “To ensure that installers are aware of and trained on the standards that will underpin the domestic RHI”

Training Provider and Stakeholder Meeting • Cross Skilling, support will be for: • Solar Thermal (QCF) • Heat pump (QCF) • Biomass (QCF and QCF Mapped) • To a value of 75% of the cost of the course • up-to a maximum of £500 (inclusive of VAT) • Installers must register at www.rhitraining.co.uk
Training Provider and Stakeholder Meeting • Headline Objectives, Eligibility (England) • Are you a permanent resident in England? • Do you work predominantly in England? • Is your employer's principal office, or the office where you are based, in England?
Training Provider and Stakeholder Meeting • Apprenticeship support will be for: • “Intro to Renewables” (QCF) • Solar Thermal (QCF) • Heat pump (QCF) • Biomass (QCF) • The scheme is keen to “Dual Fuel” where possible
Training Provider and Stakeholder Meeting • Apprenticeship support: • Additional support may be provided for books, learner materials work placements etc. • Support of up-to £2,500 per candidate (No maximum percentage)
Training Provider and Stakeholder Meeting MCS The implementation timetable for MCS has now been agreed All new applicants will have to hold an appropriate qualification from April 2014

Training Provider and Stakeholder Meeting • The demand could potentially outstrip supply • Vouchers will be issued one per candidate at any one time • 3 month expiry in which to complete the training in full • Training Providers will be given the details of those whom have registered with them
Training Provider and Stakeholder Meeting Training providers will need to register to be a part of the scheme Successful registration will mean you are listed on the RHITSS website Registration is free but they will need to demonstrate how they meet certain criteria
