General Information • This guide presents some (but not all) of the many ways that hearing aids, implant processors and headphones can be combined with the Williams Sound equipment that will be available for you to borrow (pick up stations will be posted). The next slide shows the Williams Sound devices that will be available. The rest of the guide will help you determine some of the ways you can take advantage of these devices. • This equipment will be available at the General Assembly, in the various sessions (where the front rows will be reserved for FM users), at the Poster Reception and in the Exhibit Hall. • If you plan to bring any of your own equipment and wish to connect it with the Williams Sound equipment, note that all of the jacks and plugs on their devices are 3.5 mm. More General Information • If you plan to utilize one of the following suggestions that incorporates your telecoil, please ensure that you can access the telecoil. Some processors require a special program, while others do not. Contact your implant audiologist if you are unsure about your needs or if you think you may need programming changes. • If your processor is not represented here, or if you have questions regarding your personal situation, equipment, etc., please contact your audiologist. Advanced BionicsHarmony • To listen via your microphone • Plug the headphones into a receiver (in larger meetings like the General Assembly or Sessions) or a Pocketalker ™ (for close conversation at the Poster Reception) • Simply place the headphone over your implant microphone • To listen via your telecoil (built-in) • Ensure that one of your programs utilizes the telecoil • Then you can use a neckloopwith the various receivers or with a Pocketalker™ • If you do not have a telecoil program, you can use an external telecoil • Attach the Direct Connect Earhook (#CI-5840) • Connect the Telecoil Adapter (#5750) • To listen via direct connection • Attach your Direct Connect Earhook • Connect your Direct Connect Cable (#CI-5841) • Connect your 3.5 mm patch cable (3.5 mm plug on each end) • Plug one end into the Direct Connect Cable • Plug the other end into the receiver orPocketalker ™ • Connect the Handheld Directional Mic or Lapel Mic for close conversation • Plug the mic directly into the Direct Connect Cable I would like to start over. Hearing Aid Users • To listen via your telecoil • Ensure that telecoil is functioning before convention. • Then you can use a neckloop with a receiver (in the General Assembly or Sessions) or a Pocketalker ™ (for close conversation at the Poster Reception). • Plug the neckloop into the receiver or Pocketalker ™ • Place the neckloop around your neck • Put your hearing aid on ‘T’ I would like to start over.
