I emigrated here from Jamaica in 1975, I was 13 when I came to America. I was good at soccer. Also I was good at cricket.
When I emigrated I moved to Cambridge Massachusetts. To be with my family. I was raised on the streets. And one day I saw a bunch of kids playing a pickup game of basketball. So I decide to join.
After my few years in high school being a basketball star, I went to George town university. I started all four years at Georgetown.
After I graduated college, I was in the first ever Draft Lottery, and I was the Overall first pick in the Draft.
After a good run with the Knicks for a few years (1985-1999) I was traded to the Seattle Supersonics, and ended my playing career in Orlando.
I went to play in the Olympics and winning three gold medals. I am part of the “ Dream Team” We won every single game in the Olympics. And I am now the 16th best Basketball player of all time.
Then I retired .I was introduced into the Hall of Fame in September 5, 2008 in Springfield Massachusetts, And then I went and started coaching for the Orlando Magic. Now in retired fully, and living the rest of my days as a regular old man.
