  4. Hades “The unseen realm of the dead - the receptacle of disembodied spirits” Resurrection “a standing up again” “raised to life again” Judgment Everyone will be judged by Christ according to their life. Hell Eternal destiny for those who die in sin. A place of punishment.

  7. Wrong Ideas about Heaven Materialistic View • Streets of Gold and precious stones • Sing about a mansion that is lined with gold • Woman marries a man for his house/car • Not because of riches he has to offer

  8. Etymology of word for Heaven • English = “heave” - lifted up, pushed up, high • Hebrew = Heights above, upper regions • Greek = To cover, encompass “air” “firmament” “expanses”

  9. Where is Heaven ? • Sky - Isa. 55:10 • Solar System - Ps. 8:3 • God’s Dwelling - 2 Cor. 12:2 Up Heaven is a real place !! John 14:1-3 v. 1 “Let not your heart be troubled…. v. 2 “I go to prepare a place for you” v. 3 “I will come again, and receive you”
