Subtracting Integers. 1. -3 - (-2 ) = -3 + (+2) =-1 2. -4 - (2 )= -4 + (-2)= -6. 3. Change the minus to a plus and change the next sign. Then, add same signed #’s and subtract different signed #’s, and answer takes the sign of the larger absolute value. -5 – 7=-5 + (-7)=-12
