Let’s start by comparing two dogs. How are these dogs alike and how are they different? • Basset Hound • German Shepherd

Basset Hound white, black, brown mouth closed ears down long ears tail up German Shepherd black, brown mouth open ears up short ears tail down How are they different?
Another way to organize your comparisons is using a Venn diagram. . Venn Diagram
Venn Diagram • A Venn diagram is made up of two circles overlapping each other. • Each circle is labeled for the items that you are comparing. In these circles you write what makes that item different and special. • In the middle you write the ways in which the items are the same.
