Evaluation & Selection • Using a common rubric, teachers reviewed and selected textbooks for adoption based on the following criteria: • Alignment with Standards and UbD Framework • content and materials that support SOLs, student understanding, and 21st century skills • Content • content that is inclusive and non-biased, is student-friendly, is up-to-date and accurate, and includes formative and summative assessments • Instructional Planning and Support • materials that address the needs of our student population, are teacher-friendly, support remediation and reteaching, support effective teaching strategies, and include technology and online resource materials.

Digital Mapping StrataLogica is a Web-based tool that delivers all Nystrom wall maps and globes in a 3-D environment using the Google Earth API. • 24/7 access to current maps and geography content that students and teachers can use in the classroom or at home.
