Is this a service contract? • No. It is an informal agreement between TEC Services and the IT Section of a college or department • Simply, it is an agreement that TEC Services will offer service contract level service in exchange for the customer’s agreement to direct all computer hardware repairs to TEC Services
What are the benefits of this plan? • Priority Service • Flexible Repair Options • Warranty & Post-Warranty Repairs • On-line Service Requests • Discount on Non-Warranty Repair Labor • Waiver of On-site Fees • Access to Local Stocking of Dell Warranty Parts • No Pre-payment
Priority Service • You earn a service priority commensurate with that of a pre-paid service agreement • Two hour call-back and on-site within one (1) business day
Flexible Repair Options • You choose how you want service delivered • On-site • Pick-up and repair at TEC Services • Deliver part to your IT staff who installs part - Example – HDD, DVD Drive
Warranty & Post Warranty Repairs • Warranty Repairs for Dell, Apple, & Lenovo • Post-Warranty Repairs for all brands • Written quote presented for Non-warranty repairs
On-line Service Requests • On-line requests routed to TEC Services Customer Support Desk • Request acknowledged within 30 minutes of reception with copy of work order
Labor Discount for Non-Warranty Repairs • 10% discount on TEC Services fixed labor fees
Waiver of On-Site Fee • You won’t pay the $50 surcharge that is assessed to non-Plan customers for receiving on-site service
Access to Local Stocking of Dell Warranty Parts • Receive same-day repairs on Dell desktop and laptop computers that are supported through local stocking • Dell to begin local stocking for Dell servers that are in high use throughout campus
No Pre-payment • You pay as you go for parts and discounted labor for non-warranty repairs • All billable charges are formally quoted before work starts
How do I sign-up? • Send an E-mail to Denise Mattox at dmattox@uga.edu and ask to subscribe to the Computer Service Plan • Denise establishes new account in the database and sends Customer Account Number to customer
