  2. Triangle Region Denmark The Triangle Region consists of 6 municipalities: Billund, Fredericia, Kolding, Middelfart, Vejen, and Vejle. Area 345 km2 Population 354.000 The region is characterized by both cities with industries primarily in Energy, CleanTech, Design and Logistics, and rural areas with a high concentration of animal and food production. Historically there has been close cooperation between the municipalities in the Triangle Region

International Cooperation Participation in ENNEREG – regions paving the Way for sustainable Energy in Europe • ENNEREG aims to establish and inspire EU Regions to take up the challenges of fulfilling the EU 20-20-20 climate and energy targets of at least 20% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, 20% increase in energy efficiency and 20% of energy from renewables by 2020. • Learn more about ENNEREG at www.regions202020.eu. • 12 Pioneer regions – Triangel Region is one of them • The main goals of the Triangle Region are: • CO2 emissions reduced by more than 20% by 2020 • Use of fossil fuels reduced by 15% by 2025 • Proportion of renewable energy increased by at least 30% of energy Consumption up to 2025 • Saving initiatives increased to 1.25% annually in 2020
