The student is expected to: • (A)  classify and sequence organisms, objects, and events based on properties and patterns; and • (B)  identify, predict, replicate, and create patterns including those seen in charts, graphs, and numbers

  3. Science TEKS • 7)  Science concepts. The student knows that many types of change occur. The student is expected to: • (A)  observe, measure, record, analyze, predict, and illustrate changes in size, mass, temperature, color, position, quantity, sound, and movement; • (B)  identify, predict, and test uses of heat to cause change such as melting and evaporation; • (C)  demonstrate a change in the motion of an object by giving the object a push or a pull; and

  4. What students will learn • The student will be able to identify zoo animals • The student will be able to identify habitats of zoo animals • The student will be able to ide • ntify that different animals have different physical properties.

  5. Whole class work • Read different books on animals • Have vocabulary words on zoo terminology • Visit different virtual zoos and gather information online about different animals and their habitats. • Field trip to the zoo

  6. Group Work • Create drawing of favorite zoo animal, including habitat • Do research on that animal to present to class
