  2. “Cryin’” by Aerosmith (1) There was a time When I was so broken hearted Love wasn't much of a friend of mine The tables have turned, yeah (5) 'Cause me and them ways have parted That kind of love was the killin' kind Now listen All I want is someone I can't resist I know all I need to know by the way that I got kissed (10)I was cryin' when I met you Now I'm tryin' to forget you Love is sweet misery I was cryin' just to get you Now I'm dyin' cause I let you (15) Do what you do - down on me

  3. “Cryin’” by Aerosmith In this poem, one sees the narrator as being one that has been deceived. For example, he/she states that “Love wasn't much of a friend of mine” (Aerosmith 3), and he/she also calls love by a deceptive name as “sweet misery” (12). He/she blames love as “the killin' kind” (6). Love has obviously deceived the narrator. One also sees this kind of deception in Bill Bryson’s book, Shakespeare: The World as Stage, as he explores the cloudy life of Shakespeare. In Chapter 2, one sees Shakespeare’s marriage as very deceptive. His love with Anne Hathaway could be considered one where love was not very traditional. He spent much time away from her, and “we have no indication of any warmth between them” (42). This is not what most expect out of love.
