  2. month of Kartik is when the women celebrate Karwa Chauth. The festival is the celebration of the love and devotion the wife has for her husbands. What does the rituals of Karwa Chauth include? As the festival is a proclamation of the wife’s love for their husbands, the rituals and customs reflect so. The wives fast the entire day from sunrise to when the moon rises, while praying for their husbands to have a prosperous life. The Karwa Chauth puja plays a great role in the rituals, which takes place in the evening. All the women who are fasting for their husbands, sit down together in a circle, with their thalis and dawned in traditions. As thalis are exchanged the priest or one of the women recites the story of Suhagan “Veeravati”. So what does the thalis include?
