  3. Work with Him • Work hard. • Prov 6:6-11 • Laziness: 10:26; 18:9; 21:25; 26:16 • How to work: 20:23; 16:11; 15:27; 22:29; 16:8; 11:4, 28 • Work as if you were working for God.

  4. Work with Him Success and Security Lazy people are soon poor;hard workers get rich. Prov10:4 Work hard and become a leader;be lazy and become a slave. Prov12:24 Do you see any truly competent workers? They will serve kings rather than working for ordinary people. Prov 22:29 A hard worker has plenty of food, but a person who chases fantasies ends up in poverty. Prov28:19

  5. Wealth with Him • Security The wealth of the rich is their fortress;the poverty of the poor is their destruction. 10:15(also 18:11; 13:8; 14:20; 22:7; 18:23) Prov 11:4 – ultimate security is from God.

  6. Wealth with Him • Budget and Plan with God. • Prov 27:23-27 • Be cautious about debt (22:7) • Will you invite God into your finances?

  7. Wealth with Him • Help Others with God. • Fight injustice. A poor person’s farm may produce much food, but injustice sweeps it all away. Prov13:23 (also 31:8-9)

  8. Wealth with Him • Help Others with God. • Fight injustice. • Pass on the hard lessons about hard work.

  9. It’s poor judgment to guarantee another person’s debt or put up security for a friend. Prov 17:18 An inheritance gained hurriedly at the beginning will not be blessed in the end. Prov 20:21 NASB The stingy are eager to get rich and are unaware that poverty awaits them. 28:22 NIV

  10. Wealth with Him • Help Others with God. • Fight injustice. • Pass on the hard lessons about hard work. • Give generously. Prov 28:27 Blessed are those who are generous,because they feed the poor. Prov 22:9
