Another Synagogue Fire (June 1939) At 1:00 a.m. a fire seen in Zerotingasse Synagogue. 3 engines and 24 firemen arrived. With great effort they prevented the fire spreading to the neighbouring buildings. Fire finally extinguished at 9:00 a.m. “Only the selfless efforts of the firemen prevented a much greater misfortune”
