Pick 2 Committees! • K-Family (Works with Builders club and K-kids) • Service (Works with canned food drive and other general service projects) • Fundraising (Car Washes and other fundraisers) • S.N.A.P. (Special Needs Awareness Program) • Major Emphasis (UNICEF and other Fundraisers) • Joe DiMaggio (Children’s hospital) • Children’s Harbor (Foster Home) • Advertising Committee (Making banners)
Upcoming Events and News: • T-shirts will be given out very soon! • Our annual Pancake Breakfast will be on the 10th of November and this will also be our DCM of the Month. • Every new member will receive a pin and certificate at our induction ceremony. • Service projects for this month will be listed in this PowerPoint. • Turn in your UNICEF Boxes at the Next General Meeting!
Eco-Action Day • WHERE: Miramar Pineland 3600 s. University Dr., Miramar • WHAT: An opportunity to clean litter and help improve a local park. • WHEN: Nov. 2nd from 9am to Noon • Must be 13 to participate. • Suggested: Bring gloves and sunscreen! • Important!!! If you want to participate in this event you must go on our club website and fill out the volunteer form! • Forms must be turned in by Thursday to d215
Car Wash! • WHEN: Sunday, November3rd 11am-3pm • COST: $5 per car • WHERE: Walgreens on 196th and Pines (195550 Pines Blvd) • Money raised will go to the Save our Schools fund! • See Kayla if you haven't signed up but want to.
Horses and Handicapped What: Horse therapy for the handicapped. When: 8:30am-12:30pm. Saturday November 9th. Where: 5050 SW 73rd Avenue, Davie FL 4 hours of community service. Sign up with Marisa after this meeting. Note: If there is rain the session will be cancelled.
All members MUST sell at least 2 tickets! • If you are interested in Volunteering let Kelsey know as soon as possible! (754) 281 5495 • You can sell tickets during lunch or volunteer at the actual event (or both). Both will give you volunteer hours. • Parents can bring in Pancake Mix for volunteer hours and drop it off in the front office! • This will also be a DCM. • This is a family event so feel free to invite younger siblings and parents! Children’s Harbor • WHEN: November16th • WHAT: A Thanksgiving themed party for foster home children. • See Gaby if you are interested. (954) 304 6877 This event is pretty small so not everyone will be able to attend the first time.
