Designation of Equal Opportunity Officers Under the Workforce Investment Act, every Stateand Local Workforce Area is responsible for designating an Equal Opportunity Officer.
Designation of Equal Opportunity Officers Using the State of Texas, the next slides illustrates the governance structure for a State that has a Single Workforce Agency with designated local workforce areas.

The Role of the Equal Opportunity Officer Serves as the staff person responsible for overseeing the recipient’s civil rights responsibilities related to its obligation as a U.S. Department of Labor financial assistance recipient.
