Good Afternoon Party People! Today: New Seats Announcements Test Reflection Looking Ahead: 1. Position paper option two due Monday, October 21s.
Announcements If you got a D or an F on the test- review today at lunch and retakes TOMORROW, either before school, at lunch or after school. You will be getting your notebooks back tomorrow. As always, revisions are accepted up to two weeks from the day you get it back. Midterm grades are going home are going to be entered at the end of this week so if you are concerned about your grade COME TAKE TO ME ASAP!
Test Reflection Take the key and correct your test. Then fill out the ‘test reflection worksheet’. Think about whether or not you demonstrated mastery of the material. Does your grade reflect your understanding? How can you get better at taking tests?

The Lucifer Effect Are people truly evil?
Jigsaw the Lucifer Effect Each person should read the sections labeled EVERYONE. Then divide up the remaining sections, P1, P2, P3 etc. Once you have finished reading- summarize your section for your group. Everyone should take notes on every experiment. Once you have gone over the reading and clarified any questions you should complete the worksheet as a group.
TGIF! Today: • Updates • Discussion of the Lucifer Effect • Notes on the Holocaust EQ: Understand how normal people executed the Holocaust and investigate the true essence of human nature.
Objective • Understand some reasons why normal people could massacre 11,000,000 people in the Holocaust. • Decide if people are truly and inherently “evil” or do people get caught up in the power of the situation.
Make Connections • How does this experiment connect to the Holocaust? • What are some similarities to other experiments? • Each person in the group should be able to make a connection.
Categorize • There are five major themes that fit each experiment: • Obedience • Conformity • Inaction • Dehumanization • Anonymity • Categorize each of the experiments using one or more of these themes. Discuss you rationale. • All of these themes are necessary to allow “evil” to happen
