  3. Advantages • Success for students who drop out of conventional schools. • Flexible schedules and pacing options. • Teaches self motivation. • Prepares students technology based future.

  4. Disadvantages • High drop out rate for some students. • Isolation and less peer interaction. • Because it is a new form of education there is little research on the lasting effects of virtual high school.

  5. Conclusion • What learning techniques can traditional high schools incorporate from the virtual classroom? • Will the growth of virtual high schools change the way we educate our teachers? • How do you feel about becoming a virtual teacher?
