Creating Non-linear actions
A non-linear action makes the movement from one slide to another within the PowerPoint non- sequential. You can assign a “hyperlink” to an image or text, and when you click on it, you will be re-directed to another slide in the Power Point. Non-linear actions Example Click here to learn how to add hyperlinks
Email me with any questions • cbrown@mnsd.org Good Luck!
To add a hyperlink… • Go to “Insert” “Hyperlink” Non-linear actions
The “Insert Hyperlink” box will appear • On the left, select “Link to” Place in This Document • Select the slide from the “Slide Titles” and click OK. Non-linear actions
When re-directed to the new slide, you should insert a “button” on the bottom right corner that will take you back to the original slide. • You can use any type of clip art or image as your “button”. • Follow the procedure, as discussed on the previous slide. • In the corner of this slide, I have “modeled” the button feature. Click on it to return to the first slide we looked at on this topic. Non-linear actions
