  1. How to Remove Adware Threats with Norton Antivirus?

  2. Ensure you have the Latest Definition Updates for NAV and run it as usual.

  3. Record Names

  4. Click the name of each Threat to open a small box that Contains the full path to each Offending File Example: The file C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\bridge.inf is a Adware threat.

  5. Click your Start Button on your Windows Taskbar to Bring up your main menu.

  6. Find and Click 'Run...' on your Menu.

  7. Type 'cmd' in the text Field and Click OK.

  8. Type 'cd' and Hit Return/Enter .

  9. Type 'cd ' Followed by the Path to the first of the Offending Files

  10. Type 'dir' once you get to the directory.

  11. Type 'del ' followed by the name of the offending file

  12. Type 'dir' again to list the directory, then assure yourself that the offending file is gone.

  13. Repeat from step 11 until all are gone if you have more than one file and the remainder are in the same directory.

  14. Repeat from Step 8 if you have more than one file and the Remainder are NOT in the Same Directory.

  15. Type EXIT and hit return/enter to close the DOS window when all your files are gone.
