Major Activity 2: Vocabulary in context(www.dictionary.com) • Transnational: going beyond national boundaries or interests: a transnational economy. • International Monetary Fund: an organization that controls the international monetary system. • President Richard Nixon: the 37th President of the United States (1969-1974) who led the country as Commander in Chief during the Vietnam War.
Major Activity 2: • OPEC (Organization of Petroleum-Exporting Countries): Founded in 1960 to administer a common policy for the sale of petroleum. • Neoliberalism: a modern politico-economic theory favoring free trade, privatization, minimal government intervention in business, reduced public expenditure on social services, etc. • President Ronald Reagan: the 40th President of the United States (1981-1989) who led the neoliberal revolution.
Major Activity 2: • WTO (World Trade Organization): the only international body dealing with the rules of trade between nations. • Cambodia has been a member of WTO since October 13, 2004. The agreement came into effect on January 1, 1994.

It was replaced by the World Trade Organization in 1995. • Euphoria: a feeling of great happiness or well-being, commonly exaggerated and not necessarily well founded. • Peg: the level at which some price, exchange rate, etc., is set: a dollar peg.
