  5. Medline/Old Medline • A literature database containing references to Medical research published in journals • Contains Bibliographic, Abstract and Indexing Information – all searchable • 1953 to present • About 14,500,00 references • Updated 4 times per week

  6. Registry • Substance Database containing CAS RN, Structures, Chemical Names, Properties, Sequences • 1957 to present • Over 73 Million substances

  7. CASREACT • Database of Reactions • 1840 to present • 8,517,229 Single- and multi-step reactions • Search full or half reactions • Search Reactants, Reagents, Products, catalysts, any Role

  8. CHEMCATS • Quickly and easily obtain current information on commercially available chemicals and their worldwide suppliers • More than 8.1 million products • 734 suppliers • 834 catalogs • Updated upon receipt of new catalog

Better substance searching • Pharmaceutical compounds are seldom simple neutral compounds • Beware that salts and mixtures may have their own CAS Registry number • Better to search known compound as an exact structure that as a name • Includes different stereoisomers, salts and mixtures • Can copy/paste a CAS Registry to import the structure
