DID ALL INDIANS LIVE IN TEEPEES?. SIOUX INDIANS LIVED IN TEEPEES. The teepees were made with wooden poles that were covered with buffalo hide. They slept on buffalo robes on the left side of the door; the right side was for company and supplies.

  2. SIOUX INDIANS LIVED IN TEEPEES • The teepees were made with wooden poles that were covered with buffalo hide. • They slept on buffalo robes on the left side of the door; the right side was for company and supplies. • The fireplace was in the middle of the teepee.

  3. HOPI INDIANS LIVED ON THE MESA The Hopi Indians lived in houses on the Mesa. They were made from bricks that were dried in the sun. Wooden ladders were used to get up into the houses.

  4. HIDATSA LIVED IN EARTH-COVERED LODGES • The Hidatsa made great earth-covered lodges for their homes. • The fire area for cooking and living was in the center of the lodge. • The beds were all around on the outer sides of the wall.

  5. PUEBLO INDIANS LIVED IN CAVES • Pueblo indians made their homes in caves. • These houses were carved out of the side of the mountains.
