  6. Training Increased! • Air Force mission training 50% increase over FY05 • Funded travel/lodging for: National Staff College National Cadet Competition Cadet Officer School Region/Wing Commanders’ Course

Web Mission Information Reporting System (WMIRS) Starting 1 Oct 2006 all missions must be entered in WMIRS • Online approval for training mission (Form 10) • Faster reimbursement processing with online CAPF 108 • Increased CAP visibility with 1st AF and NORTHCOM results in more CAP missions • Required reporting is automatic; CAP Wings do not have to submit separate mission reports

  8. One CAP Civil Air Patrol responds nationally to emergencies • National Response (not regional or wing) examples: • 2005 Hurricane Season • 2006 Texas and Oklahoma Wildfires (Dec 05 – Mar 06) • Pennsylvania Floods (Summer 2006)

Support for Arizona Border Operations • Congressman Hunter’s request for support • SAR, reconnaissance, radio relay training missions 17-31 July 2006 • Help prevent deaths in the desert along border Involved 90+ sorties and 300+ flying hours • Found & reported several possible illegal activities Makeshift Shelters and Debris from Border Camps Abandoned Vehicle

NORTHCOM/1st Air Force Support • CAP value and versatility verified • Re-task CAP SDIS asset in flight • Accomplished within one hour NORTHCOM Eagle Rescue Exercise New “target” I-75 Bridge 1st Air Force • CAP Liaison officer on site Coordinates for CAP • Participated in 2003 Ardent Sentry Nationwide Homeland Security Exercise

  18. Aircraft Procurement • Cessna 182s with Garmin G-1000 glass cockpit • 53 already in the field, 20 more due by 31 Dec 06 • Anticipate FY07 funding for another 27 more! By December 2007, 20% of the fleet will be less than 5 years old!
