What’s Your First Impression of This Image? • My first thought when I saw this image was how amazing the placement of the kitchen items are and what they’re doing in the air • It looks like there is an invisible wall protecting the woman from the objects flying at her
What initially captures your attention when looking at this image? • When I saw this image my eyes moved towards the left side of the picture because of the kitchen items flying towards the woman and smashing up against an invisible barrier.
How does this image appeal to ethos? • This image appeals to ethos by portraying the fear of the victim, and effects that domestic violence has on a home • This image is showing that it is wrong to hit someone else. Especially someone who trusts you to protect them from outside dangers • How can they trust you to protect them when YOU are the danger
How does this image appeal to pathos? • This image appeals to pathos by the way the woman is positioned. The way she has her hands up in front of her face gives us the feeling that she is trying to protect herself from the objects being thrown at her.
How does the image appeal to logos? • This image appeals to logos because it demonstrates how domestic violence can make a huge mess in one’s home. Not only does this woman have to endure the physical pain that these kitchen items will inflict on her, but she will also have to clean up this mess after the attacker leaves.
Is This Image Balanced? • This image is balanced because on the left side of the image you have objects flying and crashing. While on the right side you have the woman, the window letting in the light, and the text.
