HAMA Mission Statement The Hospitality Asset Managers Association (HAMA) is the pre-eminent organization of professionals responsible for proactively increasing asset values on behalf of hotel owners worldwide. Our mission is the enhancement of hospitality asset managers through education, advancement of the profession, and serving as the collective industry voice of hospitality ownership.
Successes in 2012 • Growth with the International Affiliates • Launching CHAM with AH&LA • OTA Initiative • Hilton COG on Impact Recognition and Evaluation Process • Launch of Chatter • AHLA Uniform System of Account for Hotels 11 Edition
2013 Key Strategic Initiatives • Development of White Paper on relevant topic for HAMA • Updating of 2007 CapEx Study with ISHC • Development of Educational Initiative • Support the ongoing development and build exposure for the CHAM designation • Expansion Internationally with addition of Europe • Increase the use of Chatter for HAMA • Sales Marketing Efficiency by Brand Survey
Sales Force Chatter • Chatter currently has 108 active members that have logged in and created an account • 13 Groups have been created to track brands or industry topics • With consultation of counsel creating HAMA “policy” to ensure appropriate use of Chatter process to monitor • Working with STR, PKF and other groups to feed industry data/information directly into chatter site for members • Posting of questions, answers and information by members has been slow but information posted has been informative. Looking for membership to help continue to kick start.
2013 Business Issues in Process • OTA Initiative Update • April follow-up letter • Hilton, IHG, Starwood and Hyatt responded • COG Hilton • Meeting being scheduled for May/June
