  1. MY CSE3 EXPERIENCE By: Gabriela ardaki OVERVIEW Data analysis and Visualization with excel Students will learn concepts and skills necessary to effectively use information technology. Information technology is a general term that describes any technology that helps to produce, manipulate, store, communicate, and/or disseminate information. The course material will be useful now and throughout life. Microsoft Office Excelfeatures calculation, graphing tools, pivot tables, and a macro programming language. Microsoft Excel has the basic features of all spreadsheets,using a grid of cells arranged in numbered rows and letter-named columns to organize data manipulations like arithmetic operations. In addition, it can display data as line graphs, histograms and charts, and with a very limited three-dimensional graphical display. Visual programming with scratch Scratch is a computer application aimed primarily at children and allows them to explore and experiment with the concepts of computer programming by using the simple graphical interface. Scratch: a programming language for everyone. Create interactive stories, games, music and art. In CSE3, we used Scratch to make different moving images and games. Image analysis and manipulation with photoshop Presentation of information with worD & powerpoint PowerPoint presentations consist of a number of individual pages or "slides". The "slide" analogy is a reference to the slide projector, a device that can be seen as obsolete, within the context of widespread use of PowerPoint and other presentation software. Slides may contain text, graphics, movies, and other objects, which may be arranged freely on the slide. Computational thinking Computational Thinking is a new way of solving problems Computational thinking can be used to algorithmically solve complicated problems of scale. Computational thinking is often used to solve problems of efficiency and to realize large improvements in efficiency through novel approaches to problem solving Adobe Photoshop is a graphics editing program that can utilize the color models RGB, lab, CMYK, grayscale, binary bitmap, and duotone. Photoshop has the ability to read and write raster and vector image formats
