Activity – Education • NVS has developed a unique profile in higher education • at both undergraduate and advanced levels, in close contact with researchers – the volume of teaching corresponding to 30% of KI's educational activities. • NVS is responsible for the majority of courses in the following undergraduate health care study programmes: • Nursing • Physiotherapy • Occupational therapy • Master's degree programmes in these study fields, and • as well as for ten specialist nursing programmes. • Further more, NVS organises a large number of freestanding courses and executive and professional education. Activity – Research The research is translational, ranging from genes to prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and care ─ “From cell to society”. NVS conducts experimental, clinical, health care science and epidemiological research with particular focus on aging and diseases in the elderly.
