Doors • We are using an overlay door (type) and a recessed panel (style). • The stiles and rails are a mortise and tenon joint to put together. • We are using a concealed hinge called a Blum hinge. • The width of our stiles and rails are 2 ¼”. • The door size will be 13/16” larger than the width of the opening of the face frame. • The panel inside our door will be made out of “full ¼”. • We will insert filler plugs/inserts in our tenon lip to make sure our panels do not rattle inside our door frame.

  8. Other Information • There is a 1” reveal between cabinet door and drawers. • We will put on a ¾” or 1 ½”oak stock cap to dress up a shelf to cover up the particle board. • The valance is the board put across the top and wall cabinets to fill in the gap above the sink area. • Install the corner cabinet first. One should also install uppers before the base cabinets. • The front stiles should be flush when installing cabinets. • The face frame on a wall cabinet is installed ½” down from the top body piece of a cabinet.
